Henry Turnip

Henry Turnip, my second picture book with Walker Books Australia, was published in June 2020. It was selected for the 2020 NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge and was also shortlisted for Speech Pathology Australia’s 2021 Book of the Year Award.

An inclusive every-kid story. Henry Turnip explores the themes of anxiety, shyness, friendship, and embracing those who are a little different from us. It focuses on a child panda, who is very particular about the way he likes things and struggles with worry/anxiety.

Though his world slowly begins to change when he meets Reuben Moon! Reuben is an adventurous rabbit and the kind of friend that helps Henry feel a little braver and more confident.
