Maple The Brave
Maple the Brave is my debut children’s book, published in 2019 by Walker Books Australia. The book was included in the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge in both 2019 and 2020. Maple the Brave has also been translated into Korean, published by Dahli Books
Maple lives high above the forest floor in a cozy treehouse, where she feels safe from the world below. She’s afraid of many things, especially the animals that roam the woods. But when she takes a brave step beyond her comfort zone, she discovers the animals are not scary at all, but kind and full of warmth. With their support, Maple begins to uncover a quiet strength within herself, and learns that bravery often grows when we dare to reach out.
